Explore local wildlife and grounds at Pecos National Historic Park

Located approximately 25 minutes from downtown Santa Fe, New Mexico, Pecos National Historic Park is a historical park set in the Sangre de Cristo Mountains. The site, home to remains of Indian Pueblos including remnants of an old Spanish adobe church (completed in 1625), is replete with a visitors center with trail maps and both guided and self-guided tour of the ruins. On weekends, join a park ranger for a guided tour of various ancestral sites, or venture out on your own and learn about a typical day in the life of the Pecos people. Pack a picnic lunch, or take time for quiet reflection and enjoy the mountain views from a shaded viewing structure.
